Wouldn’t you like to find a way to take control of how and what you eat? Dominique is a diet and nutrition coach who can help you adopt a healthier lifestyle. You will learn about a comprehensive program of counseling, cooking instructions, and support.
» 11:00 am Skin Care for Men and Women – Maria Estes
Learn how to take better care of your skin, inside and out, and to feel better in your skin. Maria will show us how to read labels and what not to put on your skin. You will discover how to get softer and smoother skin, as well as how to reverse the signs of aging skin, sun-damaged skin, and prevent aging skin while protecting it from the three “S’s” of sun, stress, and smoking. You will get to sample Swiss skincare at its best.

» 1:00 pm Wellness Begins in the Home – Karen Horton
Our home may actually contain more environmental hazards than a congested urban area. Living in a wellness home can help restore balance by giving proper attention to four essential parts of living: rest and relaxation, nutrition, fitness, and environment. When these four areas are in balance, there is a dramatic improvement in the quality of your life.
» 2:00 pm Couples Massage – Karla Fears
To begin this relaxing session, Karla will discuss suggested oils, music, and setting the scene for a massage session. She will then demonstrate massage strokes designed to activate the parasympathetic nervous system (responsible for rest and relaxation).
» 3:00 pm Yoga – Julia Kalish
Enjoy a relaxing yoga class with your significant other! All levels of flexibility welcome. We will provide the mats.

Take a tour of four local wineries in a van provided by Reston Limousine. Your tour guide is Briar Patch co-owner, Dan Haendel, who will impress you with his knowledge of the local area. Tasting fees not included.

» About the Instructors
Maria Estes
Maria has been an independent consultant since 1997 with Arbonne International, a 29 year old Swiss company. She helps people with their skin care to get the correct ph level and to meet their nutritional and weight loss needs.
Karla Fears
Karla Fears is a certified massage therapist, licensed by the Board of Nursing in Virginia and owner of The Massage Touch in Reston, VA. She is professionally qualified to do Swedish, Hot Stone, and Thai Yoga Massage. She is also a Registered Aromatherapist and a Ph D candidate (Natural Medicine) at Clayton College of Natural Medicine.
Dominique Hoffman
Dominique has been a vegetarian all her life. As such, she had to learn about nutrition, cooking, and meal composition. She started cooking at an early age and can create nutritious and delicious meals on the fly. Dominique founded Zizania in 2007 to help people include more plant based meals in their diets and obtain nutrients they need to build a strong immune system and ward of diseases.
Karen Horton
Karen is a Health and Wellness Advisor and is in her second year with Nikken, the world leader in wellness home technology. Nikken began in 1975 in Japan and is currently in 40 countries. She has had extensive training on wellness home technologies with the company and has a Nikken Certified Wellness Home. She provides information and resources on how to achieve health and wellness naturally without the use of prescription drugs.
Julia Kalish
Julia has been practicing yoga since 1998 and teaching since 2005. She has completed advanced teacher training studies and is a Registered Yoga Alliance teacher. Her company, Double Dog Yoga, specializes in small group and private yoga instruction for beginners.
